Welcome to Mercury Plumbing & Heating Limited, we provide our range of heating, plumbing and gas solutions throughout Derby and surrounding areas. We take pride in the work we do and ensure that our customers are entirely satisfied with our service.
All work we carry out is done in a clean, professional and friendly manner. Among the services we cover include boiler installation, servicing and repair, gas safety certificates, bathroom installation, general plumbing, as well as the installation of gas cookers, hobs and fires.
For your peace of mind, we are Gas Safe registered, which is a legal requirement for any engineer carrying out work with gas appliances. We also hold public liability insurance.

Mercury Plumbing & Heating is a Baxi Approved Installer, which means we have attended regular Baxi training courses so that you can be confident we have the experience and knowledge to fit and service Baxi boilers and accessories. We also get priority customer support from Baxi for your boiler - often a same day callout.
We have to meet Baxi’s high standards and have signed the Baxi Approved Installer Code of Conduct, plus Baxi monitors our customer feedback to ensure we maintain the high quality of our work.

Our boiler has been losing pressure for some time but no obvious leak or explanation. Boiler serviced annually and given a clean bill of health. Dave visited and identified the problem as a faulty radiator valve on 2 radiators with ‘micro leaks’. Dave raplaced the rad valves and flushed out a radiator that was half cold! (We knew this because he used a thermal camera to see the heat!!!) I didn’t even need to get cash out as Dave takes card using a nifty little Bluetooth payment machine! I am 100% happy to recommend Dave for quality of work, communication and value for money! Thanks Dave 👍🏼
I've been dealing with Mercury Plumbing for several years as David has been looking after my rental properties. For example he has installed a new boiler, investigated shower leak, carries out boiler servicing & has made emergency calls. All work has been carried out perfectly & is fairly priced. Dave is a knowledgeable plumber & heating engineer, always arrives on time & extremely pleasant. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Dave, a plumber you can trust.
A touch better than excellent - what a decent professional plumber which clearly knows his stuff. Installed a new boiler at a fair price. It took two days but we didn’t go without hot water overnight. This was not the first time he has helped us out. Removed and refitted new radiators when having re-plastering done - all without a hitch. Thanks Dave, most reassuring. Anyone considering a plumber should have no worries about calling Dave Barber.
After being let down by other engineers, Dave came bang on time and did a good job of servicing my gas fire (which works much better now) at a very good price. Would definitely use again.
